REVIEW: One More Bite by Jennifer Rardin

Summary from the website of Jennifer Rardin.
One More Bite (Jaz Parks #5)
Jaz and Vayl have been assigned to travel to Inverness to prevent an assassination that has the potential to upset the balance between the west coast vampire nests and allow another Raptor to emerge. In the power vacuum left by Edward “the Raptor” Samos’ death, a struggle for supremacy has begun between his former allies: The Coven of Inverness, the Valencian Weres and The Flock. The struggle takes on a new twist when Pete learns that the Valencians have hired an assassin to take out the Coven’s leader, a powerful witch named Floraidh Halsey. Jaz and Vayl must stalk a killer as wily and Gifted as themselves as they travel through the wild, stark beauty of the Highlands. Their travels also bring new heights to their romance, a new depth to their passion, and a bond they are both, at last, willing to seal.

My thoughts...In this installment Jaz and Vayl find themselves surrounded by ghost hunters.  I have always thought ghost hunting was interesting so I was immediately drawn into this storyline.  Although they are missing some of their team, they still manage to tackle some pretty fierce situations.  This book explains a lot more about Jaz's character.  Her Dad tags along with them and I feel like they make some progress in their fragile relationship.

The relationship with Jaz and the vampire Vayl continues to develop.  This series is so much fun to read,   there is something for everyone.  Guns, action, paranormals, high-tech gadgets and magic lead the story from beginning to end.  The only thing I would like to see are more details.  Jennifer does a great job of building up to the love scenes.  You can feel the tension between the characters, but then the scenes are skipped.   I'm not talking about explicit details, just a peek.

If you haven't read this series yet, I recommend them.  If you enjoy stories with tough, kick-butt heroines and sexy vamps, you will not be disappointed.

Hi Elnice,

I appreciate your comments and advice. How do set up your interviews? Seems a little intimidating to me. Do you do your interviews by email, by phone, or in person? I would love some advice on how you set up your interviews.

By the way, I am now following you and have added you to my blog roll.

Thanks for your help,

John Bradley
